Job summary

Reed in Partnership is seeking a Test Centre Manager to lead the operational delivery of the test centre and manage the Test Centre team across shifts.

You will ensure security, scheduling, and compliance while maintaining a high standard of customer service and staff development. The role requires flexibility, including evenings and Saturdays, with a pro-rata 30-hour contract and a competitive base salary.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK driving licence (driving not required for all locations).
• Line management and performance management experience.
• Significant demonstrable experience in providing high-quality customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure to short timescales and multi-tasking.
• Experience working with diverse customer groups.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
• Flexibility in working hours including evenings and Saturdays.
• Good IT skills including Word/PowerPoint/Outlook.
• Minimum of 2 A-Levels or equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
• GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B or equivalent Level 2 qualification.
• Level 2 Literacy assessment at interview stage or international equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Test Centre Delivery: central contact for staff and cover vacant shifts.
• Maintaining holiday records to avoid shift shortages.
• Checking Power BI to ensure bookings are correct and aligned.
• Checking NSA’s weekly and ensuring staff and room facilities are booked properly.
• Providing scheduling support as required.
• Team Leader may create work rotas and support scheduling of shifts.
• Performance Management: lead in training new staff.
• Updating HR on staffing issues (lateness/attitudes/behaviour).
• STCA/TCA performance reviews and delivery observations.
• Security Management & Fraud Prevention: reviewing incidents and closeouts.
• Investigating complaints and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
• Ensuring integrity and security of tests; supervision/invigilation as required.
• Following security procedures and reporting unusual activity.
• Property Management: Health & Safety on site; risk assessments.
• Dealing with property emergencies; escalations for IT issues.
• Record-keeping of key management; stock replenishment of stationery/equipment.
