Job summary

Speedy Hire is recruiting a Test and Run Technician to join our depot team in the UK. This busy role performs basic electrical and functionality testing, services and cleans products returned from hire to ensure they are safe and presentable for the next customer.

You will work Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00, 42 hours per week, with opportunities to learn through our in-house training courses and progress within the business as part of our ESG commitments.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical skills (12/24V) required.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Desirable: experience in the hire industry or other engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical and functionality testing.
• Service and clean returned hire products.
• Ensure items are safe and presentable for customers.
• Support depot operations and training opportunities.

The role of a Test and Run Technician is a busy and productive role in the depot, performing basic electrical and functionality testing as well as servicing and cleaning products returned from hire to ensure they are safe and presentable, ready for the next customer to take away.

What You’ll Need

• Basic electrical skills (12/24v)
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to use tools effectively
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Previous experience working within the hire industry or other engineering field is desirable
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
