Job summary

Speedy are the UK & Ireland’s leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services – everything for every job! We are looking for a Test and Run Technician in Exeter, working Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:00 (42 hours per week).

Salary is £29,572 per annum pro rata, reflecting a patient and productive role in the depot where you test, service and clean items for the next customer.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical skills (12/24V) required.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in hire industry or engineering is desirable.
• Ability to support ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical and functionality testing on returned items.
• Service and clean products returned from hire to ensure safety and presentation.
• Support the depot team to deliver efficient, reliable customer service.

Job Title - Test and Run Technician

The role of a Test and Run Technician is a busy and productive role in the depot, performing basic electrical and functionality testing as well as servicing and cleaning products returned from hire to ensure they are safe and presentable, ready for the next customer to take away.

What you’ll need:

• Basic electrical skills (12/24v)
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to use tools effectively
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Previous experience working within the hire industry or other engineering field is desirable
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
