Job summary

Speedy Hire in Exeter is seeking a Test and Run Technician to perform basic electrical and functionality testing, plus servicing and cleaning of hire returns to ensure safety and presentability for the next customer. The role offers opportunities to build an engineering career with in-house training.

The position requires basic electrical and mechanical skills, good communication, and ideally experience in hire or engineering. A suite of benefits and flexible working patterns are available.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Previous experience in the hire industry or another engineering field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Test and run electrical and functionality tests on returned hire products; service and clean to ensure safety and presentation.
• Support the depot operations and team to maintain high-quality standards and readiness for next customer.

Job Title - Test and Run Technician

Location - Exeter

Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

Salary £29,572 per annum pro rata

The role of a Test and Run Technician is a busy and productive role in the depot, performing basic electrical and functionality testing as well as servicing and cleaning products returned from hire to ensure they are safe and presentable, ready for the next customer to take away.

• Basic electrical skills (12/24v)
