Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc in Castle Donington is seeking a Test and Run Technician to perform basic electrical and functionality testing, service and clean hire equipment, ensuring safety and presentation for the next customer.

This busy, hands-on role offers solid training through our in-house programmes, a clear career path in engineering, and regular hours Monday to Friday 07:30–17:00 with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical skills (12/24v).
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Previous experience working within the hire industry or other engineering field is desirable.
• Ability to support ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical and functionality testing.
• Service and clean products returned from hire to ensure they are safe and presentable.
• Assist with prepping equipment for next customer.

Job Title - Test and Run Technician

Location - Castle Donington

Working Hours - Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

Salary £29,572 per annum pro rata

The role of a Test and Run Technician is a busy and productive role in the depot, performing basic electrical and functionality testing as well as servicing and cleaning products returned from hire to ensure they are safe and presentable, ready for the next customer to take away.

• Basic electrical skills (12/24v)
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to use tools effectively
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Previous experience working within the hire industry or other engineering field is desirable
