Forktruck Solutions Ltd is a specialist provider of lithium-powered materials handling equipment, offering a full range of trucks and related services from the Wakefield depot. The Area Sales Manager will drive sales within an assigned territory, identify opportunities, manage accounts and deliver product presentations and demonstrations.

The role requires strong sales skills, account management experience, and the ability to conduct site surveys.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and business development skills with prospecting, lead qualification and closing deals.
• Experience in account management and building long-term partnerships.
• Knowledge of materials handling or related sectors is beneficial.
• Ability to conduct site surveys and understand customer requirements to recommend solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, suitable for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with basic IT tools and CRM systems for pipeline, reporting and planning.
• Organised and with good time-management, focused on targets and deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned area.

Responsabilités

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the territory.
• Manage existing customer accounts and develop long-term partnerships.
• Conduct site visits and product demonstrations to present solutions.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing and contract terms.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and collaborate with service/operations teams.
• Provide market feedback to support product and strategy development.
