Job summary

AWD online in Portsmouth is seeking an Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to own a defined sales territory, win new business and grow established relationships. You will combine field-based customer engagement with account development and pipeline growth, using knowledge of insulation, drylining and wider construction products to provide practical, commercially effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in area/territory sales or account management.
• Experience in insulation, drylining, construction or building materials.
• Strong knowledge of insulation and drylining products and their applications.
• Understanding of the construction supply chain and customer requirements.
• Proven ability to develop new business and meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Own the designated sales territory including sales performance, margin and business development.
• Develop existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional business.
• Win new customers while maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
• Visit customers, understand requirements and recommend practical, commercially effective product solutions.
• Build strong relationships with contractors, merchants, developers and other construction professionals.
• Prepare and negotiate commercially competitive quotations and manage opportunities through to completion.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor market conditions, competitor activity and changing customer requirements.
