Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to grow our local trade customer base across your assigned territory. This field-based role focuses on winning new business, building strong depot relationships and turning conversations into long-term trade partnerships.

You will work closely with depot colleagues, manage your pipeline, and drive growth through proactive calls, product knowledge in joinery and hardware, and a customer‑first approach.

Qualifications

• Track record of winning new business or working in a target-driven sales role.
• Confident engaging trade customers from first conversation.
• Self-motivated, resilient with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to build product and service knowledge in joinery and hardware.
• Strong organisation skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by proactively approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into accounts.
• Grow the account base across your territory and support depot performance.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model and its benefits.
• Collaborate with depot teams to increase account spend and trading frequency.
• Build lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
• Handle enquiries professionally from first contact to resolution.
• Contribute insights and performance updates in team meetings.
• Keep data accurate and visible across activity and pipeline.
