The successful candidate will have direct responsibility for developing strategic relationships and sales growth at the distribution partners within the UK & Ireland.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sales growth from all distribution partners within the defined technology boundaries, including potential new accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans to achieve year-on-year growth aligned with distribution expectations.
  • Implement local and divisional marketing plans and activities to support sales targets, including product launches, promotions, advertising, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities, providing relevant insights and reports.
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline to contribute to growth targets.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and develop key relationships at each account.
  • Respond to sales inquiries promptly using appropriate methods.
  • Plan a structured business meeting schedule to ensure regular contact with all accounts.
  • Collaborate with key accounts to incorporate and implement the company's retail strategy where appropriate.
  • Work closely with the wider sales team, especially on joint responsibility for strategic product categories.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Proven success as an account or sales professional, preferably within the fluid power industry.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, disciplined, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to operate within a matrix organization and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer relationship, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior contacts internally and externally.
  • Background in Engineering, Business Studies, or Marketing is advantageous, as is a good understanding of Fluid Power or similar markets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other PC skills.
