Job summary

Thomas Franks is seeking a Sous Chef to join their team at one of their Bucks locations. The role is full-time, permanent, with a 40-hour week and term-time plus contract including 48 weeks of operation. Free parking and pool access are among the site benefits.

Key duties include preparing food service areas, ensuring timely service to standards, maintaining hygiene, stocking, and presenting food to specification. Strong emphasis on health and safety and attending training.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage moderate heavy lifting and pushing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all Food service areas for the day's business.
• Ensure prompt service of all meals to company/clients standards.
• Ensure methods of preparation and presentation meet company expectations.
• Prepare, set-up, serve, clear and store away food, beverages or equipment.
• Prepare all food for sale/service following hygiene and safety practices.
• Restock and replenish stocks for service periods and pre-empt customer needs.
• Keep Front of House informed of stock movements and delays.
• Attend cleaning/hygiene duties and ensure areas are clean.
• Serve customers, visitors and guests to service standards.
• Attend meetings and training courses as required.
• Notify head chef of stock movements for forthcoming menus.
