Job summary

Thomas Franks is recruiting a creative and effective Sous Chef to join our catering team at one of our Bucks locations. This term-time plus contract covers 48 weeks, with Monday to Friday work and a 40-hour week.

Free parking and access to the swimming pool are provided at this site. Based at a preparatory school in Gerrards Cross/Chalfont St Peter, you will lead food preparation, ensure high standards of hygiene, and deliver meals in line with client and company expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in school catering or contract catering environments.
• Ability to lead a kitchen team and maintain service standards.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food service areas for the day's meals.
• Ensure prompt service and maintain company/client standards.
• Maintain hygiene and safe food handling practices.
• Restock and manage stocks during service periods.
• Prepare and present meals to set quality and portion standards.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
