Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Tonbridge, Kent, is seeking a proactive Sous Chef to join our independent contract catering team on a Monday to Friday schedule. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours per week and a salary of £33,200.

You will prepare meals, maintain high hygiene standards, restock, and support service across school events for around 700 students and staff. Benefits include free meals on duty, pension, and cycle-to-work.

Qualifications

• Experience in school or contract catering preferred.
• Food hygiene certificate preferred.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food service areas for the day's meals.
• Ensure meals are served promptly to standards.
• Maintain hygiene and safety in line with company expectations.
• Restock stocks and assist with ordering.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized at end of shift.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
