Job summary

Ygam is seeking a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to support vulnerable residents in sustaining tenancies through specialist welfare advice, income maximisation and tailored support. You will manage your own caseload, delivering practical solutions to improve financial wellbeing and independence.

You will work closely with internal teams and external agencies, conducting holistic assessments, home visits and risk assessments while maintaining accurate records and contributing to performance targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management, tenancy sustainment or welfare benefits.
• Ability to assess vulnerable residents and develop tailored support plans.
• Strong knowledge of Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume caseload of vulnerable residents and provide tailored tenancy sustainment support.
• Conduct holistic assessments, home visits and risk assessments to enable independent living.
• Advise on Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and discretionary welfare payments to maximise income.
• Collaborate with housing teams, local authorities and agencies to coordinate support.
• Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service performance targets.
