Stevenage Borough Council is seeking a Specialist Support Officer (Tenancy Sustainment) to help service users in general needs accommodation sustain their tenancies through practical advice and supportive engagement. The role covers diverse complex needs, including mental health and substance misuse, and involves coordinating with teams to aid moving on from supported housing.

• Good knowledge and understanding of services available to support a wide range of service user’s needs, demonstrating sensitivity and compassion.

Responsabilidades

• Support service users living in general needs accommodation to sustain tenancies through advice and support.
• Assess applicants for moving on from supported accommodation and care leavers applying to move into general needs accommodation.
• Assist with benefit claims, accessing employment, and coordinating with other teams and agencies.
