Job summary

Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils are seeking a Tenancy Experience Officer to support housing tenant engagement across the Housing Service. You will enable tenant voices to influence service delivery and work with partners to shape improvements in the community.

The role involves coordinating tenant panels, facilitating forums, and assisting the Housing Service Improvement Board with engagement activities alongside officers and councillors.

Qualifications

• 1 year of front-facing customer service experience.
• GCSE A-C or equivalent.
• Clean UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.

• Organise and facilitate tenant/leaseholder panels, forums, and scrutiny groups.

Job description

The role

To work with housing service colleagues, to support tenant engagement activities across the Council's housing services, ensuring tenants and leaseholders are actively involved in shaping, reviewing, and improving housing services. The role promotes inclusive participation, strengthens community relationships, and ensures tenant voices are heard and acted upon.

Key Requirements

• To support the Senior Tenancy Experience Officer (STEO) to develop and implement an effective tenant engagement strategy for the Housing Service, working with internal and external stakeholders
• Organise and facilitate tenant/leaseholder panels, forums, and scrutiny groups
• To provide support to tenants/leaseholders to enable them to be active and effective members of the Housing Service Improvement Board, sitting alongside Officers and Councillors

Skills & experience

• 1 year experience in a front facing customer service environment
• Educated to GCSE A-C or equivalent
• Clean UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
