Job summary

Saltrock Berwick-Upon-Tweed is recruiting a temporary Sales Advisor on a 16 hour contract to support our store in Berwick-upon-Tweed. You will work with an energetic team, delivering an excellent customer experience and helping to drive in-store sales.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, merchandising, maintaining store standards, and assisting with deliveries. Prior retail experience is desirable; full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is desirable but not essential.
• Able to process sales transactions with care.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Good understanding of product features and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Help achieve sales targets by demonstrating passion for the product and brand while processing sales transactions.
• Ensure customers have a positive in-store experience in a welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping for a healthy, safe store.
• Provide information about product features, benefits and stock availability to customers.
• Assist with markdowns and price changes within agreed timescales.
• Keep products tidy, presentable and stocked as required.
• Participate in merchandising in line with guidelines.
• Handle deliveries and perform keyholder duties as required.

Job Description

A brilliant opportunity to work within our Retail team. You’ll work alongside an energetic team, who are passionate about our product and engaging with our customers delivering an excellent experience for them while they are in store.

Role

• Helping to achieve sales targets by demonstrating a passion for the product and the brand while processing sales transactions with care
• Ensuring customers have a positive experience within our store making it an inviting and welcoming atmosphere.
• Keeping housekeeping to a high standard the outcome being a healthy and safe store
• Be able to feed our customers with information about our product including features and benefits and stock availability
• Help implement any markdown/price alterations within agreed timescales
• Keeping our product tidy and presentable and replenish as needed
• Support when requested with merchandising product in conjunction with our guidelines
• Process deliveries

What you will bring on the journey

• A passion for selling and interacting with customers
• Recognition of the importance of strong visual merchandising
• Competent at till operations and Cash/card handling
• Experience in Retail would be desirable but not essential
