Job summary

Phoenix Collegiate is seeking a Temporary Learning Support Assistant – Level 2 to support students with additional needs. The role is 31.25 hours per week during term-time plus 5 INSET days, based at The Phoenix Collegiate, West Bromwich. Applicants should have GCSEs at grade 4 or above or equivalent and ideally experience with children in education.

The post is maternity leave cover until July 2027. An enhanced DBS check and safeguarding responsibilities apply.

LOCATION: Phoenix, Clarkes Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B71 2BX

HOURS: 31.25 hours per week, Term Time + 5 INSET Days

Some of the duties and responsibilities are:

• Supporting individual and group work to raise core skills, supporting Personalised Learning Plans and help students access the national curriculum
• Assisting students to access the school curriculum and in the use of resources - including IT
• General support to students in line with Education, Health and Care Plans or planned provision
• Assisting in the assessment of students’ attainment and with the recording and monitoring of students’ progress
• Assisting with the supervision of students on school trips/visits

You will have attained GCSE grade 4 or above (or an equivalent qualification) and ideally, will have experience of working with children or young people in an education setting.
