Job summary

Phoenix Collegiate in West Bromwich seeks a Learning Support Assistant to support students with additional needs. Hours are 31.25 per week during term time plus 5 INSET days, with a maternity leave contract through July 2027. A Grade B salary (£19,607 p.a.) plus Special Needs Allowance (£1,198 p.a.) is offered.

The role involves helping students access the curriculum, supporting learning plans, and promoting inclusion. GCSEs and experience in education are preferred.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade 4 or above or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or young people in an education setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support for students with a range of needs.
• Assist with Personalised Learning Plans and access to the national curriculum.
• Support students in using resources and ICT.
• Assist with assessment of attainment and recording progress.
• Supervise students on school trips and visits.
