The Phoenix Collegiate is seeking a highly organised HR Assistant to provide confidential administrative support across HR functions. You will assist with recruitment, maintain HR records and the Single Central Record, and help with payroll and absence administration.
Furthermore, you will produce HR documentation, ensure safeguarding compliance, and work with the team to support staff and the wider school community.

GRADE: Grade C - £11,472p.a. - £12,028p.a. Actual salary after adjustment for
part-time hours and term time working
(£26,428p.a. - £27,709p.a. Full Time Equivalent Salary)
HOURS: 18 hours per week (to be worked over 3 days), Term Time + 1 week
CONTRACT: Temporary Contract until 31 August 2027
Phoenix Collegiate is looking to appoint a highly organised, professional and discreet HR Assistant to provide administrative support across a range of human resources functions.
This varied role involves supporting recruitment processes, maintaining HR records and the Single Central Record, assisting with payroll and absence administration, producing HR documentation, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding and safer recruitment requirements
The successful candidate will have excellent administrative and ICT skills, including Microsoft Office, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity. Previous administrative experience is essential, and experience within an HR environment would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone who is approachable, flexible, able to work effectively as part of a team, and committed to supporting the school’s staff and wider community.
