Job summary

The Phoenix Collegiate in West Bromwich is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a maternity leave cover until July 2027. The role is a Level 2 post, supporting students with additional needs and contributing to personalised learning plans.

The successful candidate will have GCSE grade 4 or above and experience working with children or in an education setting. The post is 31.25 hours per week during term time plus 5 INSET days, with a salary of £19,607 per annum pro rata.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent) required.
• Experience working with children or young people in an education setting preferred.
• Ability to support Personalised Learning Plans and use IT resources.

Responsibilities

• Support individual and group work to raise core skills.
• Assist with Personalised Learning Plans and curriculum access.
• Record progress and assist in assessment.
• Supervise students on school trips/visits.
