Job summary

The Phoenix Collegiate in West Bromwich is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a maternity leave cover until July 2027. The role is a Level 2 post, supporting students with additional needs and contributing to personalised learning plans.

The successful candidate will have GCSE grade 4 or above and experience working with children or in an education setting. The post is 31.25 hours per week during term time plus 5 INSET days, with a salary of £19,607 per annum pro rata.

LOCATION: Phoenix, Clarkes Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B71 2BX

Some of the duties and responsibilities are:

• Supporting individual and group work to raise core skills, supporting Personalised Learning Plans and help students access the national curriculum

  Assisting students to access the school curriculum and in the use of

• resources - including IT
• General support to students in line with Education, Health and Care Plans or planned provision
• Assisting in the assessment of students’ attainment and with the recording and monitoring of students’ progress
• Assisting with the supervision of students on school trips/visits

  You will have attained GCSE grade 4 or above (or an equivalent qualification) and ideally, will have experience of working with children or young people in an education setting.
