Job Description: Human Resources Advisor (Temporary)

This opportunity is with a well-established non-profit organization based in central Reading. The organization has a strong community presence and fosters a team-focused, supportive environment dedicated to mentorship and professional development.

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our dynamic team on a temporary basis as a Human Resources Advisor. In this hands-on role, you will deliver comprehensive HR services, supporting recruitment, employee well-being, and deputizing for the Head of HR as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, including compliance and inductions.
  2. Advise on employee relations and support issue resolution.
  3. Prepare payroll data and liaise with Finance regarding pensions and benefits.
  4. Lead well-being initiatives such as workshops and campaigns.
  5. Coordinate employee lifecycle processes including probation, absence, and reviews.
  6. Organize training sessions and maintain training records.
  7. Maintain accurate HR data and generate reports on HR metrics.
  8. Assist in reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  9. Supervise HR volunteers and serve as the first point of contact for HR queries.

Ideal Candidate:

CIPD Level 5 qualification with 3–5 years of generalist HR experience. Strong knowledge of employment law, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems are essential.
