Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking flexible delivery drivers who will drive Royal Mail vans and deliver letters and parcels in their local communities. The role combines driving with walking on a round and requires physical fitness and reliability.

Shifts vary and candidates must be able to adapt at short notice; you may be asked to pass a driving assessment at start. This is a frontline job offering active work and community impact.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK licence with no more than 6 points.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in/out of a van, carry mailbags up to 16 kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary; must be able to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as part of your round while driving a Royal Mail van and walking where required.
• Securely deliver all items on your route and handle election materials and other items in line with Royal Mail standards.
