Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will deliver letters and parcels in your community, driving a Royal Mail van and delivering parts of your route on foot.

The role requires a full UK driving licence with up to 6 points, stamina for long walking days, and the ability to handle items like election materials. Shifts vary and you may need to pass a driving assessment on start.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk up to 20,000 steps per day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts vary and you must be flexible to cover different times.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your community in a Royal Mail van and on foot.
• Safely complete parts of your route, ensuring items reach their destination.
• Handle election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards and pass a driving assessment on start.
