Temporary Customer Service Advisor

This temporary post suits someone available immediately for a customer-facing assignment in North West London. As a Temporary Customer Service Advisor, the successful candidate greets visitors, handles enquiries by phone and in person, books appointments and supports clinicians within a veterinary clinic. Shifts vary across the week, with an initial four-week term and scope to extend. Pay reaches £15 hourly.

The Role

• Providing a friendly, professional, and compassionate front-of-house service
• Handling a high volume of calls and customer enquiries
• Supporting clients who may be worried, upset or concerned about their pets
• Managing queries efficiently while maintaining a calm and empathetic approach
• Using internal systems to accurately record and update information
• Supporting the wider reception team to ensure the smooth running of the clinic
• Communicating confidently and professionally, both verbally and in writing

Shift Patterns

• Shifts will be confirmed week by week, with flexibility required.
• Early: 8:15am - 4:45pm
• Mid: 9:30am - 6:00pm
• Late: 10:30am - 7:00pm

• Previous front-of-house, reception, or customer service experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A compassionate, empathetic, and caring approach
• Comfortable working in a busy, high-call-volume environment
• Able to remain calm, professional, and patient when dealing with challenging situations
• Strong technical and systems ability, with confidence learning new software
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Provet experience is desirable, although strong systems ability and the ability to pick up new systems quickly will also be considered
