Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United Kingdom is seeking a Director of Technology to lead technical sales strategy for UKI. You will guide enterprise cloud adoption, partner with sales and cross-functional teams, and articulate AWS capabilities into measurable business value.

You will lead a high-performing Solutions Architects organization, shape global tech strategy, and influence senior leaders across a matrixed, global company.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership experience in a technical, customer-facing role within the technology industry.
• Multiple years of design, implementation or consulting experience with cloud native applications and architectures.
• Extensive people management experience including growing technical leaders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated effectiveness engaging tech and business C-level executives.
• Experience working in a matrix structure and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels and across global organizations.

Responsibilities

• Influence UKI's technical strategy aligned to AWS's global priorities, serving as the primary technology voice shaping product direction, go-to-market investment, and customer engagement.
• Engage at C-suite and board level as a trusted advisor on digital transformation, AI strategy, and cloud-native architecture; build executive relationships to accelerate adoption.
• Lead and inspire a team of Solutions Architects, fostering technical excellence, customer obsession, and continuous innovation.
• Partner with Sales, Specialists, Marketing, Professional Services, and Partners to drive revenue growth and shape the product roadmap.
