Job summary

Alliance Pharmaceuticals Limited is seeking an experienced Technology Planning & Delivery Manager to shape and deliver a consolidated technology roadmap. You will lead a multi-disciplinary delivery function, prioritise demand, and align resources to business priorities across ERP, data and automation platforms.

You will drive governance, manage complex projects, and partner with senior stakeholders to turn strategic objectives into actionable delivery plans while overseeing second-line support

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technology delivery, programmes, portfolios or business systems teams.
• Strong experience with ERP, digital, data, reporting or automation platforms.
• Expertise in demand management, prioritisation, roadmap planning and resource allocation.
• Strong project and portfolio governance skills, including risk, dependency and stakeholder management.
• Experience operating within Agile, PRINCE2, ITIL or similar delivery frameworks.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience leading teams through change and driving organisational adoption.
• Ability to translate business challenges into practical technology solutions.
• Track record of delivering technology initiatives on time, within budget and with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary technology delivery function, ensuring resources are aligned to business priorities.
• Own and manage the technology demand process, balancing business requirements with delivery capacity.
• Maintain oversight of the technology portfolio, identifying risks, dependencies, competing priorities and capacity constraints before they impact delivery.
• Drive complex technology projects and transformation initiatives from concept through to successful implementation.
• Establish and lead effective project and portfolio governance across the Group IT function.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable technology roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Collaborate with engineering and Centre of Excellence teams to maintain a clear, consolidated technology roadmap.
• Ensure requirements, testing, deployment and change management activities are effectively coordinated.
• Oversee second-line support for key business technology platforms, driving continuous improvement and service excellence.
• Embed consistent ways of working, governance standards and knowledge management practices across technology teams.
• Act as a trusted technology partner, providing challenge, guidance and leadership to ensure successful outcomes.

We're looking for a Technology Planning & Delivery Manager to join our Group IT function and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our technology portfolio across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead technology planning, governance, project delivery and operational support, while partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure technology investments drive real business value.

Chippenham, Wiltshire (Hybrid 2 days a week onsite)

The opportunity

As our Technology Planning & Delivery Manager, you will own the consolidated technology roadmap, ensuring demand is effectively prioritised, resources are aligned, and projects are delivered successfully across multiple technology domains.

Working closely with business leaders, Centres of Excellence and engineering teams, you'll provide the leadership, structure and governance needed to transform ideas into outcomes.

This role combines strategic thinking, portfolio management, stakeholder engagement and operational leadership, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across both business and technology landscapes.
