The Financial Ombudsman Service is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that plays a vital role in UK financial services. Every day we help resolve disputes between consumers, or small businesses, and their financial service providers.
The purpose of this role is to provide end-to-end coordination and assurance for technology change, ensuring the right people, plans, governance and support arrangements are in place from the outset through to implementation and transition into live service.
You will work across infrastructure, architecture, service delivery, application management and engineering, bringing together the technology activity needed to deliver change safely and effectively. You will ensure technical, testing, service and operational requirements are identified early, with clear ownership, dependencies and delivery plans in place.
You will act as a critical link between technology teams and wider stakeholders, including product owners, business owners, project and change managers, and third-party suppliers. You will maintain alignment throughout delivery, facilitate timely decisions and ensure risks or issues are addressed at the appropriate stage.
A key focus of the role is ensuring that change is designed and delivered with its future operation in mind. You will coordinate business readiness and service transition, ensuring service ownership, support models, resources, documentation, knowledge transfer and warranty arrangements are in place before change moves into business-as-usual operation.
To be considered for this role, you'll need to show us that you've got the skills and capabilities. You'll have to meet the following minimum criteria:
