We are working exclusively with a highly successful and diverse private group with interests spanning multiple sectors, who are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Technology to lead and shape their future technology strategy.

This is a pivotal senior leadership appointment, offering significant scope to influence the organisation's technology direction while ensuring the delivery of secure, efficient and high-quality IT services across the wider Group.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and business leaders, the Head of Technology will have overall responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the IT function.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and delivering the Group's long-term technology strategy, aligned to commercial priorities and business needs
  • Leading the adoption of AI, automation and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to create genuine business value
  • Developing and delivering a Group-wide data strategy, improving data quality, governance and accessibility

  • Managing the technology budget, procurement and key supplier relationships, ensuring investment delivers clear value
  • Leading, developing and inspiring the technology team, ensuring the function has the skills and capabilities required for the future
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted technology adviser across the business
  • Developing and communicating a clear technology roadmap and securing senior leadership buy-in
About You

We are looking for an experienced technology leader who combines strategic vision with strong operational delivery.

You will ideally have:

  • Significant senior technology leadership experience within a complex or multi-entity organisation
  • A proven track record of developing and delivering technology strategy
  • Experience leading transformation across areas such as data, cloud, cybersecurity and AI
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience of owning significant technology budgets

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • A self-starting, accountable approach and a genuine focus on continuous improvement

You will have the opportunity to define the future direction of technology, influence the adoption of AI and data across the Group, strengthen the organisation's cyber resilience and build a technology function fit for the future.
