Job summary

Club L London is seeking a strong, hands-on Technology Director to shape and execute our technology roadmap. You will lead engineering, data and IT, partnering with the CEO and senior leadership to enable rapid growth across our ecommerce platform, mobile app, and systems.

You will drive platform scalability, security, and performance, champion AI/ML enabled efficiencies, and foster a culture of innovation and delivery in a fast-paced DTC environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technology Director or similar senior hands-on leadership role in a high-growth ecommerce or digital company.
• Hands-on experience scaling ecommerce platforms and GCP ecosystem with a willingness to roll up your sleeves to support the team.
• Strong leadership, delivery management, and communication skills.
• Background in direct-to-consumer (DTC), omnichannel retail, or international expansion.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and DevOps.
• Experience working in agile product environments with rapid iteration and release cycles.

Responsibilities

• Own the technology roadmap and lead the engineering, data and IT teams.
• Lead day-to-day development and optimisation of the ecommerce platform, website, mobile app and supporting systems.
• Build and lead high-performing engineering, data and IT teams.
• Implement and maintain robust security and compliance protocols.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations and Customer Experience teams.
• Own the technology budget, forecasting and vendor management.
