Job summary

Davies Group in Bolton seeks a Qualified Solicitor/CILEX to join the Keoghs Casualty team as Technical Support Lawyer. You will lead a group of delegated authority handlers, manage complex EL/PL claims, and mentor colleagues while driving technical excellence and commercial outcomes.

The role involves supervising staff, handling high-value cases up to £100k, contributing to client audits and devising strategies, with opportunities for training, workshops, and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with practising certificate.
• Experience handling EL/PL files.
• Litigation experience essential.
• Supervision experience essential.
• Financial Authority of at least £25k.
• Strong advocacy skills.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication.
• Excellent client care and adherence to guidelines.
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• High analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to delegate and lead teams.
• Resilience and adaptability.
• Strong IT skills and professional presence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop aligned handlers and assistants to deliver technical excellence.
• Drive financial authority audits and ensure commercial handling of files.
• Lead strategy on files within sub-teams and ensure delivery.
• Support colleagues in client-facing roles for designated clients.
• Attend client audits and participate in client meetings and workshops.
• Develop bespoke training for sub teams with PDPS support.
• Build relationships with Davies clients and manage a mixed caseload of EL/PL and related claims.
