Job summary

Davies is seeking an experienced EL/PL Liability Claims Handler to join our Casualty team in Stoke. You will manage liability claims from cradle to grave, ensure proactive handling, and work within insurer philosophies.

Qualifications

• Experience handling injury claims in insurance or legal environment.
• Knowledge of policy wording and terms and conditions.
• Familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules and the Claims Portal.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish if cover is in place for the claim.
• Record all claims on the digital claims handling system.
• Investigate liability claims, via desk work or by instructing loss adjusters.
• Make the decision on liability.
• Negotiate settlement of the claim.
• Ensure compliance with legal timescales and client SLAs.
• Build relationships with external clients and stakeholders.
