Keoghs in Bristol is seeking an Assistant to Lead Lawyer to join its Casualty team. You will assist on complex EL/PL claims for public sector clients and gain exposure to tribunal work with high-value cases.

The role offers mentoring from a leading expert, hybrid working (office attendance about one day a week), and a comprehensive benefits package including private healthcare and pension.

Competenze

• Qualified Solicitor NQ-2yrs or equivalent experience.

Mansioni

Description

Keoghs is looking for a talented EL/PL Lawyer to join its Casualty team in Bristol.

This is a rare opportunity to develop your career on a broad and highly technical caseload that goes well beyond traditional EL/PL litigation. You'll work very closely with a recognised leader in the industry, assisting on complex and high-value claims for a diverse public sector client base, including police forces and local authorities.

The work is varied, intellectually stimulating and often high profile, with claim values ranging from substantial six-figure sums to matters worth millions of pounds. You'll also gain valuable exposure to tribunal claims, providing a breadth of experience that is difficult to find elsewhere this early in your legal career.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist on a varied caseload of complex and high-value Employer's and Public Liability claims
• Review and analyse liability, causation and quantum evidence
• Draft pleadings, witness statements and other legal documentation
• Liaise with clients, counsel, experts and witnesses
• Support trial preparation and attendance at conferences
• Assist with a range of tribunal matters, gaining exposure to additional areas of contentious work alongside your EL/PL caseload
• Conduct legal research and contribute to strategic advice on complex and often novel legal issues

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Qualified Solicitor NQ-2yrs (also happy to consider non-qualified candidates with equivalent experience)
• Experience in personal injury, casualty litigation, insurance litigation or general dispute resolution
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• A genuine interest in complex litigation
