The role is home-based in the North of England or Scotland, requiring approximately 50% travel to customer sites. Job Overview

A world leader in analytical instrumentation is seeking an accomplished, ambitious and commercially astute LC-MS Technical Specialist.

Responsibilities
  • Aiding in the development of customer methods
  • Demonstrating methods / proof of concept
  • Technical support to the sales team
  • Providing customer training and support

In addition you will also attend high profile industry conferences, presenting technological advancements and helping to build the company’s customer base with a focus on mass spectrometry instrumentation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced scientist to utilise their wealth of LC-MS, method development / troubleshooting experience in a new exciting role and work with the company’s latest LC-MS / MS technology.

For this role, you can be based from home in the North of England or Scotland

You are expected to travel approx. 50% of the working week to customer sites around the North of England & Scotland and the applications laboratory in Milton Keynes with the occasional overnight stay.

Qualifications
  • At least 3 years’ experience with LC-MS instruments (including QQQ and / or QTOF)
  • Understanding of method development, optimisation and troubleshooting (ideally small molecule analysis)
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting scientific information to an audience
