Job summary

BMW Group UK is offering a Placement Year in the Technical Services and Warranty team at Farnborough. You will join the Technical Campaigns group, support Aftersales, and gain hands-on experience across data tools, communication with Retailers, and cross-department collaboration.

The role focuses on analysing recall data, supporting templates, developing a VIN lookup tool, and contributing to AI-based efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's degree with at least a 2:2 and returning to studies after the placement.
Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Interest in automotive industry and premium brand environment.
Excellent organisation and budgeting skills with attention to detail.
Creative, analytical and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

Analyse outstanding recall data to locate vehicles with incorrect registered keeper details and monitor completion rates using BMW data tools.
Assist with customer mailing templates and generate batches of letters for recalls and technical actions; administer XCC system and compile campaign reports.
Develop and support a recall VIN lookup tool and compile monthly recall and campaign completion rate reports.
Publish bulletins and documents to Retailer HUB; liaise with Retailers to improve recall completion rates.
Communicate with Parts, Customer Services and Aftersales teams; support Technical Campaigns and Special Processes.
Monitor quality issues by reviewing forums and social media; organise regional meetings and record minutes.
Develop and implement AI-based solutions to improve efficiency and reporting.
