SFR Recruitment Solutions is delighted to be working exclusively with a respected architectural hardware manufacturer in the West Midlands to appoint a Technical Sales Manager. You will manage a portfolio of key accounts, develop new opportunities, provide technical advice on ironmongery and door hardware, interpret architects' drawings, and drive projects from enquiry to order.

The role is office-based three days a week with some site visits.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of architectural ironmongery, door hardware and associated products.
• Experience in technical sales, specification, scheduling, project management or key account management.
• Ability to interpret architects' drawings and produce door hardware schedules.
• Strong understanding of technical product selection and specification.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of key customer accounts.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
• Develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
• Undertake a mix of office-based and external customer-facing activity.
• Visit customers and attend project meetings as required.
• Provide technical advice on architectural ironmongery and door hardware solutions.
• Review project requirements, specifications and architects' drawings.
• Support the preparation of door hardware schedules and technical quotations.
• Manage projects from initial enquiry through to order and delivery.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and production teams on bespoke requirements.
• Help customers overcome technical challenges and identify suitable product solutions.
• Support growth of the business across UK and international markets.
