Job Title: Technical Sales Associate

We've quickly become leaders in the UV-curing space, capturing >40% of the Photoinitiators market in the UK and >45% across Europe. We are seeking an ambitious individual with a strong chemistry background, sharp commercial acumen and adept critical thinking abilities to strengthen our UV-curable business. This role will offer an invigorating blend of challenges, a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to foster an entrepreneurial spirit. You will play a pivotal role in nurturing existing customer relationships while supporting the growth of new business ventures.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Support the company in its strategy to develop within the European market
  2. Maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional customer service
  3. Pro-actively search for new customers in the European market
  4. Stay ahead of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential growth areas, customer demands, and emerging opportunities
  5. Assist with tracking sales performance, analysing key metrics, and preparing regular reports on sales activities and revenue forecasts
  6. Produce company presentations and assist in presenting to potential and current customers
  7. Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction

Essential requirements for the role:

  1. You have strong business acumen
  2. You have a Chemistry or (related science) degree (BSc/ MSc from a reputable university) and are technically proficient in this area
  3. You are able to conduct market analysis, marketing and sales planning
  4. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have high interpersonal competence and negotiation abilities
  5. You can produce client-ready presentations
  6. You are highly proficient in working with technology (laptops, phones) and Microsoft software (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Advantageous/desirable section

  1. Direct experience in UV-curing market or have a background in coatings/inks/paints
  2. Masters/ PhD in Chemistry
  3. Proficiency with CRM and ERP software
