Job summary

Marks & Spencer plc is seeking a senior Programme Delivery lead to drive end-to-end technology programmes across architecture, engineering, product and business teams. You will shape governance, manage dependencies and coordinate multiple suppliers to achieve on-time, high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasises stakeholder communication, operational readiness and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on agile or hybrid delivery in a retail tech environment.

• Ability to shape and govern delivery with clear milestones and governance.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders across architecture, product and business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology programmes and initiatives, ensuring successful outcomes against scope, timelines and quality measures.
• Shape delivery plans from approved business requirements and establish governance, reporting and delivery rhythms.
• Coordinate work across multiple teams, suppliers and partners, managing dependencies and maintaining alignment throughout delivery.
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions and changes, providing clear recommendations and timely escalation where needed.
• Champion stakeholder communication, implementation planning, operational readiness and continuous improvement through lessons learned.
• Experience delivering complex technology programmes in cross-functional environments.
• Comfortable with Architecture, Engineering, Product and Business teams to deliver shared outcomes.
• Programme planning, governance, dependency management and balancing priorities with delivery commitments.
• Able to manage suppliers, implementation partners and third-party vendors while navigating risks, issues and change effectively.
• Strong communicator with stakeholder management skills and an understanding of technology delivery, systems integration and Agile or hybrid ways of working.
