Job summary

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is offering a 12.5-month placement year at the Goodwood site. You will join the Technical Planning Interior Trim Centre, working in three focus areas and supporting production readiness with Lean methods.

Ideal candidates are undergraduates or integrated Masters in Mechanical/Automotive/Industrial Engineering, fluent in English, with MS Office skills and good teamwork. German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Studying a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in Mechanical/Automotive/Industrial Engineering or relevant course.
• Fluent in English; working knowledge of German would be beneficial.
• Excellent team spirit and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing feasibility and realisation of design and engineering requirements within the concept development process.
• Working in project teams on set deliverables.
• Manage the introduction of new materials and processes.
• Support the integration of new models into series manufacturing structures.
• Establishing a Lean Manufacturing Environment using VPS/CIP principles to reduce wastes.
• Procurement and installation of specialised tooling and equipment.
