Imperial Search is recruiting a Technical Manager for a major residential development. You will lead all technical and design matters across a complex, multi‑phase scheme, ensuring compliance, buildability, quality, cost control and programme delivery. You will coordinate consultants, manage contractor technical performance, and act as the technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and external authorities.

  • Lead technical delivery from pre‑construction through to practical completion and defects period.
  • Design coordination with architects, structural and MEP engineers to produce deliverable information and resolve technical queries.
  • Quality and compliance — ensure works meet building regulations, NHBC/LABC standards and client technical standards.
  • Buildability and value engineering — review designs to reduce risk and cost while protecting programme.
  • Contractor management — review contractor submissions, manage technical approvals, and resolve site technical issues.
  • Programme and budget control — monitor technical milestones and support cost control.
  • Stakeholder liaison — engage with planning authorities, utility providers and client teams to secure approvals and discharges.
