Job summary

Marex Group plc is seeking an experienced technical lead and full-stack software engineer to advance the Equity Market Making and Trading platform. You will contribute to on‑prem and cloud hosted desktop and web apps, focusing on front‑to‑back capabilities and robust, scalable solutions.

You will mentor teams, drive architectural decisions, and help migrate legacy systems to the cloud while aligning with Marex’s agile and AI-enhanced development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Engineering proficiency in C#, .Net, ASP.Net, React, JS/TS, HTML/CSS.
• Strong UI/React and front-end skills with WPF experience a plus.
• Experience designing APIs, REST/HTTP services and micro-services.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/DevOps, CI/CD and cloud migration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to Capital Markets - Equities teams in London and Cheshire.
• Design and code across proprietary applications for Market Making and Trading platforms.
• Ensure code quality, support backlog grooming and agile ceremonies as needed.
• Collaborate with platform engineering to automate builds and deployments.
• Champion automated testing and upskill SDETs to improve quality control.
