WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Technical Director to join our Infrastructure Planning and Environmental Assessment team. This role leads environmental inputs to multi-disciplinary projects, shaping design and sustainability in major water infrastructure programs across the UK.

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading environmental assessments for major water schemes (SRO/NSIP)
• Familiar with Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA) and Water Framework Directive (WFD) assessments
• Excellent written and verbal communication, report writing and QA
• Proven people management and team development experience
• Strong market and water sector understanding and ability to drive growth
• Confident engaging with clients, regulators and stakeholders

Aufgaben

• Lead environmental elements of large-scale, long-term infrastructure projects
• Direct recruitment, bidding, project team management, project delivery and financial management
• Provide environmental advice and support to clients, PMs and colleagues
• Promote sustainable design and environmental enhancement across projects
• Build client relationships and identify opportunities for resourcing, programming and strategy development
• Develop innovative techniques (e.g., Digital EIA, Technical Excellence, Future Ready) to shape the business
• Support and develop team culture and career progression while upholding health and safety values
