Job summary

AtkinsRéalis (UK) seeks a Technical Director for Clean Water Process to lead high‑impact water treatment projects, providing technical direction, governance, and strategic senior leadership across the D&AT Practice.

You will drive enhancements to processes, support business growth, and shape client solutions while maintaining rigorous safety and environmental compliance in the UK market.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Chartered Engineer status (IChemE/CIWEM preferred)
• Extensive leadership of complex, high‑risk water projects
• UK Water market experience essential

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Leadership within the national D&AT practice.
• Influence Practice-wide initiatives and improve internal processes and services.
• Serve as an expert and technical authority in Clean Water Process across the D&AT Practice and AtkinsRéalis.
• Provide visible representation of Clean Water Process expertise to clients.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and cross‑functional teams.
• Recommend and drive improvements to processes, services and technical practices with governance.
• Oversee technical input into bid proposals and delivery strategy for submissions.
• Identify opportunities for cross‑selling and client relationship growth.
• Grow, develop and manage the Clean Water Process capability nationwide.
• Anticipate regulatory and technology challenges and advise senior leadership.
• Lead multiple complex projects ensuring safety and client alignment.
• Operate with initiative, resolving complex technical matters independently.
