AtkinsRéalis UK seeks a Technical Director for Civil Water Engineering to lead technical delivery on major national projects and shape the future of UK water infrastructure. You will set direction for complex programmes, drive innovation, and lead cross‑disciplinary teams with senior stakeholders.

This senior role requires chartered status and a degree in Civil Water Engineering, with proven leadership of large-scale projects in the UK water market.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Water Engineering and Chartered status.
• Extensive leadership of complex, high-risk water projects.
• Experience in UK Water market and cross-disciplinary delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within the national D&AT practice.
• Serve as expert authority in Civil Water Engineering across the business.
• Represent AtkinsRéalis’ Civil Water Engineering capabilities to clients.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Drive process improvements and robust engineering governance.
• Oversee bid input and define delivery strategy for proposals.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and grow client relationships.
• Develop and manage Civil Water engineering capability in the practice.
• Anticipate regulatory and technical challenges and advise leadership.
• Provide strategic oversight across multiple complex projects.
