Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Technical Director for Waste Water Process to lead and shape wastewater treatment initiatives across the national D&AT practice in the UK. The role demands technical excellence, senior stakeholder engagement, and a track record of delivering complex water projects.

You will drive best practices, governance, and innovation while supporting business growth and cross‑regional collaboration. A Chartered Engineer status and UK water market experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered Engineer status preferred (IChemE/CIWEM).
Extensive senior technical leadership experience on complex cross‑disciplinary programs.
Proven track record in UK water sector design and delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership within the Waste Water Process discipline across the national D&AT practice.
Lead initiatives to improve internal processes, services, and governance.
Serve as a recognized expert and technical authority in wastewater process engineering.
Oversee technical input into bids, defining delivery strategy with cross‑functional teams.
Identify cross‑selling opportunities and support client relationships.
