Job summary

SER Limited in Horsham, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced Technical Consultant to join their IT services team. This hands-on role blends technical consultancy, presales, project delivery and escalations, with direct customer engagement.

You will own projects from design to completion, lead infrastructure, cloud, M365 and networking initiatives, and act as the technical reference within an MSP environment. Strong communication and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in MSP/Managed Services.
• Experience delivering IT infrastructure and cloud projects end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Good understanding of networking, servers, virtualization and cybersecurity.
• Experience in presales, solution design or technical scoping.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex escalations.

Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements and design technical solutions.
• Support presales activities including technical discovery, solution design, scoping and client presentations.
• Lead technical projects from planning to implementation and handover.
• Deliver infrastructure, cloud, M365 and networking projects.
• Act as senior escalation point for the Service Desk and resolve complex issues.
• Produce technical documentation, project plans and designs.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Project and Account teams for successful outcomes.
• Provide guidance to customers throughout the project lifecycle.
