Job summary

Searchability is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to join a growing MSP supporting SME clients across London and Surrey. The role combines escalated technical support, migrations and direct client management with travel to customer sites.

You will own technical issues, lead projects, and explain complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, visiting client sites and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of commercial IT experience, ideally within an MSP or outsourced IT environment.
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace knowledge.
• Strong Windows support and administration experience.
• Good networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.
• Experience delivering migrations and IT projects rather than purely BAU support.
• Confident handling escalated tickets and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Understanding of ITIL and good service management practices.
• Exposure to virtualization and firewall management would be beneficial.
• An interest in and understanding of AI technologies would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical support and manage escalated tickets through to resolution.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace environments.
• Deliver Microsoft 365, cloud and infrastructure migrations.
• Lead and contribute to client IT projects from planning through to implementation.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktop and server environments.
• Diagnose networking issues across TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.
• Support and configure firewalls, networking equipment and connectivity.
• Work directly with clients, taking ownership of technical requirements and providing recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve clients' infrastructure, security and ways of working.
• Maintain clear documentation and follow structured IT service management processes.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, including AI and how these can be practically applied within client environments.
