Job summary

QinetiQ, Ashford site, is seeking a Technical Author to prepare a range of technical publications for the QTS product range and support the Field Services Team with conformity and procedural documents. The role involves producing illustrated parts catalogs, manuals and training materials for electrical and mechanical systems.

You will create graphics, work with CAD models, and deliver documentation within tight schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical publications, ideally in an engineering environment.
• Understanding of CAD systems and manipulation of CAD models for documentation.
• Structured work methods with customer-focused documentation and lateral thinking.
• Ability to deliver documentation within tight timescales.
• Creative, pragmatic and self-driven with ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare presentation materials and support the Training Material Developer.
• Create original graphics, including photographs and CAD images, for manuals.
• Provide general documentation support to departments and projects.
• Collaborate with Field Services to produce conformity and procedural documents.
