QinetiQ is seeking a Technical Author at the Boscombe Down site to deliver high-quality maintenance and installation publications. You’ll work to MAA/MAM-P/MAM-D and S1000D/ATA iSpec 2200 standards, supporting both military and civil aircraft contexts.

Applicants should have aircraft engineering background and advanced Word/FrameMaker skills, plus S1000D and CSDB experience. The role is based on-site at Boscombe Down with regular site attendance expected.

Competenze

• Qualified aircraft engineer or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of aircraft equipment, systems and documentation.
• Advanced use of Word and FrameMaker.
• Experience with S1000D and CSDB.
• Graphics editing with CorelDraw or similar.

Mansioni

• Produce publications to support installation, operation, maintenance and removal of equipment.
• Ensure outputs meet MAA MAM-P/MAM-D and S1000D/ATA iSpec 2200 standards.
• Plan and prioritise work to meet customer needs.
• Verify compliance with regulatory articles and airworthiness requirements.
• Contribute to documentation quality for both military and civil aircraft.
• Adhere to Technical Publications procedures and internal standards.
