Job summary

Advanced Technical Recruitment is seeking a Technical Author for a leading manufacturer of scientific equipment in S Gloucestershire. You will create and refine highly technical documentation, prioritising content validation and review.

You will edit CAD drawings and respond to product queries, working onsite at least 3 days per week and collaborating across departments. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and experience with MadCap Flare, Adobe Acrobat, and CAD tools, plus a

Qualifications

• Recognised technical authoring qualification or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in Technical Author / Writing for scientific instrumentation.
• Experience with Simplified Technical English.

Responsibilities

• Publish customer manuals and develop new documentation.
• Validate technical details and review content.
• Edit CAD drawings for documentation and answer product queries.
• Collaborate with Technical Authoring Team across departments.
